There are two types of hourglasses. The types are as follows:

Hourglass selected before gameplay: Its effect is automatically activated right after the start of the play and adds 30 seconds to the time limit.
Hourglass included in the Miracle Toolbox: Its effect can be activated by tapping it during the play and both adds 10 seconds to the time limit.
